Christian Social Media Manners for the Election Season (or How to Avoid Nanny, Nanny, Boo Boo Break-Ups)

"Let no one be under any illusion over this. If any man among you thinks himself one of the world's clever ones, let him discard his cleverness that he may learn to be truly wise." (1 Corinthians 3:18)
"I don't even value my opinion of myself. For I might be quite ignorant of any fault in myself --- but that doesn't justify me before God. My only true judge is the Lord. The moral of this is that we should make no hasty or premature judgments. When the Lord comes he will bring into the light of day all that at present is hidden in darkness, and he will expose the secret motives of men's hearts. Then shall God himself give each man his share of praise." (1 Corinthians 4:4,5)
"...but we should remember that while knowledge may make a man look big, it is only love that can make him grow to his full stature. For whatever a man may know, he still has a lot to learn, but if he loves God, he is opening his whole life to the Spirit of God." (1 Corinthians 8:1c-3)
"As I have said before, the Christian position is this: I may do anything, but everything is not constructive. Let no man, then, set his own advantage as his objective, but rather the good of his neighbor." (1 Corinthians 10:23,24)
The original posting that was at this link has been entirely changed. To the title has been added the word "Christian." My apologies to anyone I may have offended by my original posting. I have announced on my facebook page in the past that I am not clever and do not consider myself to be clever. That remains the case --- do not expect cleverness from one who holds no earthly wisdom. Do not value my personal opinions as important, pray that, instead, they will be wholly malleable by God for, "If I speak with the eloquence of men and of angels, but have no love, I become no more than blaring brass or crashing cymbal." (1 Corinthians 13:1).

If you would like NOT to suffer nanny, nanny, boo boo break ups this election cycle, POST with love of neighbor in mind. READ with love of neighbor in mind. Ask God to give you HIS wisdom and guidance in all you say to others, in all that you are, in all that you do, and then, even then, there may be wounded friends if you are sharing your honest opinions after seeking God. We don't all agree but Christians ought to all agree. Let's pray for Christian heart's over all our brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the election season and beyond. - In His love, Jackie
